After the last update I get “Nothing found for – – – – – – – – – – -” message instead of Page not found in the browser tab. Was this on purpose if so why. What was wrong before. It looks really odd and makes no sense nothing found for dash dash dash dash. what is wrong with just saying that “Page not found”. It also makes it distinctive so that an ataccker might identify which plugin is being used in this case “Rename wp-login.php”.

Sorry about that, it was not on purpose… What theme are you using?

Did your theme display anything before there, such as “Nothing found for wp-login.php”? I needed to alter the request to something random for security issues.

Hi Yes I remember that it used to say “nothing for wp-login.php” afyer the last update it says “nothing for – – – – – – -”

I updated the plugin but it still does the same thing. I have the older version where it says “Page not found” but the latest version still gives “nothing for – – – – – – -” message. Is it possible to manually change this?

I get this error notification even with standard wordpress theme.

I think this is fixed in 2.2.4. Btw, which theme are you using? Let me know if there’s still a problem.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, stop updating this plug-in everytime you do an update it gets worse, now, when I type in wp-login.php, it directs me to the hidden login link, which defats the purpose of this plug-in and it means that I cannot use it on an active site. It is just not reliable. And theme I am using is a standard latest wordpress theme.

I decided to remove this plug-in all together and I will try to find another solution. Pitty it was good while it lasted.

Please, just let me know when something is wrong and I’ll fix it. Which version are you using now? I make a mistake in one of the versions I just released, but immediately fixed it again.

If you want this plugin to be reliable then I have to update it! Also know that I’m doing all this work for free.

I just tested the plugin on some other sites an I have the same problem. I’ll fix it asap.

Fixed. This problem was actually introduced when I was trying to fix the dashes you didn’t like. So now I think both are fixed. Note that you’ll need to visit wp-login.php twice. The first time it will still redirect because your browser cached the redirect.

Thanks for the quick reply and the fix. After so much work you did for me, I decided to look into the issue myself, I created a test website with same theme and only your plug-in installed and it works fine. I turned off all my plug-ins and and I don’t get “- – – – – – – – – ” error. now I will turn on each plug-in and find out which one is causing this issue. When I find the guilty plug-in I will let you know.

    Thanks again.

Hi the culprit is “All In One SEO Pack”. When this plug-in is activated (even with the latest version) I get the following 404 error message: nothing for – – – – – – – in the tab of the browser. If I turn it off, your plug-in functions normally. But I don’t understand why “All In One SEO Pack” should have anything to do with wp-login.php.

Do you still get that with the latest version? I’ll take a look at All In One SEO Pack and see what they’re doing.

hi, yes I do. It is definitely caused by all in one seo pack.
