There is an error on our homepage that I cannont find anywhere in the coding. I recently inherited this webpage from another member of the group and have never used WP before. After much researching I still haven’t found a “safe” way to edit our homepage or themes and I’m afraid of crashing the site. Admittedly,I’m a beginner at HTML and other coding is unknown to me so far.
The biggest problem I face at the moment is the error at the bottom of our homepage. https://dimestoreprophets.com
    It reads “Nothing Found
Apologies, but no results were found for the requested archive. Perhaps searching will help find a related post”

I will say that we are trying to set this up as musician media-based website, not a blog.
If anyone could help in getting rid of this, my group and I would be extremely greatful.

  • It seems that in the index page you have some sort of code which is trying to retrieve news or so from another source such as a blog. Did you search for the word “Apologies” in all the code to see from where the error is being triggered?

    Johnb81,
I found it under: wp-admin dashboard/appearance/Edit Themes/Templates/Archives. Just deleted the exact wording and html coding around them. Should have looked there first. I think I’m finally starting to understand how themes connect your site on WP.

Thanks Johnb81 for such a timely response!
