Nothing found but Category is checked

* I create a Category
* Add the new Category to my Search drop-down
* Check the Category box to associate the post with the Category
* Select the Category from the Search drop-down and execute a Search

Category exists and is checked but I get ‘Nothing found’

I suspect I’m missing a step, do I have to add the Category to the Search code or something like that?
