Nothing but footer after 4.6 upgrade

  • When I upgrade to 4.6, my site displays nothing but the site footer.

    Checking the source code reveals that all of the normal information in the <head> area is there, but the only thing in the <body> is the thin site footer (not even the normal fat footer).

    All of the admin screens, including the login screen, work fine.

    The site is running a customised Genesis theme. I have restored the site to pre-update and made sure the Genesis update is applied first, but same result.

    For now, I have restored to pre-update and set WordPress not to autoupdate, but obviously I would rather have the core files up to date.

    Any ideas what could be causing this?
