  • Hi guys, sorry I found it!
Is there a way to post the FB feed as part of the blog posts?

I also want to know if it is possible to change the display to a tiled rather than one long string.

    Thank you.

Could you please post your solution? Maybe it helps someone with the same problem.

And please don’t mix up the topics, instead create one support-issue per question. I am planning to release more templates for the plugin with different appearance and customizations. It is still work in progress and I don’t have a release date for it yet.

Hope that helps you in the future

I had the same problem, but I think I found the solution. When I pasted my facebook page URL “https://www.facebook.com/pagename/” the plugin automatically shortened it to “pagename/”

The forward slash seems to be the problem. When I removed it and JUST entered “pagename” into the field, everything worked perfectly.

thx jasonpittm for that hint. I’ll improve the validation-method for the pagename in upcoming releases

I’ve tried all of these tips… still no luck. I’ve validated my FB page name, manually entered the shortcode in the text box for a blog post, refreshed, repeated. The Facebook feed does not display. I also tried the shortcode in a sidebar widget–Still no luck.
I’m using WordPress 4.4 with the Magazine Basic theme. Other plugins with shortcodes (such as my email contact form) work without problems.
Can you think of anything else I should try?

could you provide me the FB page name please? So I will try to reproduce your problem

    Thank you, Daniele.
I tried to use the plugin to stream from this Facebook page: JackieCravenWrites
I tried using the page name, and then tried using the page number, which I found using the page validator.

When this didn’t work, I tried the same process to stream from my Facebook profile: WriterJackieCraven
    This didn’t work.

I’m trying to stream the Facebook feed into a blog post at https://distantdwellings.com. I’ve now removed the post because I didn’t want an empty post on my site. Let me know if you want me to re-post the blog.

I’ve installed the Magazine Basic theme on WordPress 4.4, added the shortcode to my post and configured the Facebook Social Stream plugin with your site JackieCravenWrites. It worked immediately: https://imgur.com/a/EvVeb

Do you have access to your database? The plugin creates a caching table YOUR_PREFIX_wp_fb_social_stream. If you connection to your Facebook page works, there should be stored entries of your Facebook posts.

Thanks for trying to help. My settings are exactly the same as yours. I refreshed the feed and saved the blog post, but the feed still doesn’t show. On my screen, there’s only blank space beneath the headline: https://distantdwellings.com/newest-post/

I see wp_fb_social_stream files in my dashboard under “Edit Plugins”, but I don’t find any stored Facebook entries. But maybe I’m not looking in the right place.

    Same problem.

When i enter the page-name or the page number, even when i enter the Facebook Access Token, i click the save button and a message appears:
“Could not retrieve Facebook data. Please check your settings.”

In the tab “extension” a message are displayed:
“Extension service did not respond with valid HTTP response! Please try again later.”

The wp_wp_fb_social_stream table exists in my database but is empty.

I’m use the Minamaze (Version: 1.3.3) theme in WordPress 4.4.1, my fb page is MinisterioJesucristoEsLaRespuesta

I tried with other facebook plugins for wordpress and i haven’t problem getting data from my fb page.

    Thanks for the help!
