• Hello there,

I’m having trouble migrating my friend’s site from a problematic host to mine.
After consulting the google-gods, I found it should have been quite simple. And that’s what I’ve done:

    1. Backed up his whole site to a local folder (using ftp).
    2. Exported his database into sql file to a local folder.
    3. Installed wordpress on my hosting.
    4. Imported the sql file to the target wordpress’s db.
    5. Overwritten target wp-content with the backed up one.
    6. Compared files, just to be sure.

Now, when loading target site, there’s only the “Hello world” page.
In fact, the dashboard shows that no pages, media, posts or anything of the original site! Just the plugins are there.

    What am I missing?
    Please help.
