Notes vanished on a Multisite

    Hey Notes

    • I love this plugin
    • I used it for some years
    • It vanished on my multisite
    • It somehow recovered itself on my multisite. I think there was a conflict with a snippet that removed stuff in admin menu. Howdy and then also add note
    • I removed that snippet ad added another better snippet to remove Howdy
    • Notes worked fine
    • Now they dissapeared again and I cannot bring it back….

    Change request:

    I think add note placed next to Howdy is a very very bad idea, since everyone tries to kill “Howdy” since WP does not, and somehow they are in the same string.

    If notes in Dashboard Vanish as in my case ad it is removed from admin bar there is no way to get to it.

    I will propose to place Add Note inside the Add drop down, together with posts/pages etc.

    Maybe, just maybe that sorts this bug. Yes after 2 times broken Notes it’s a bug.

    Did you release my Daish Translation?

    Hi,

    Haven’t touched the code that adds the ‘Add note’ link, so my best guess is that there’s something else interfering (old/new script?) on your site?

    Try testing it while having it individually or globally active, IIRC something strange can happen with that as well.

    I believe you can release the translation directly here on w.org without needing the developer.

    The idea is to touch “Add note” and move it where it should reside. I believe this is the conflict.

    I don’t think it will be as clear in a sub-menu that is different on the dashboard vs every other page on the site. Some people even have trouble finding it now, can’t imagine having it in a drop-down unfortunately.
