Notes Taking Over My WordPress Admin Bar (Elementor)
-
I love the flexibility Elementor brings to my site building, but the NOTES feature in the admin bar is proving a persistent resident. I’ve searched high and low, but can’t seem to find an option to disable it completely.
While notes might be a handy tool for some, it’s simply not something I need. This little feature is taking up valuable space in my admin bar, making it cluttered and harder to find the tools I use most.
Here’s the thing: every pixel counts, especially in a multi-user environment. Having unused features cluttering the interface can lead to:
- Reduced Efficiency: My team spends extra time hunting for the tools they need amidst the clutter.
- Accidental Clicks: With everything crammed together, accidental clicks become more likely, potentially leading to frustration and wasted time.exclamation
- Lowered User Adoption: A cluttered interface can be intimidating, especially for new users.expand_more
Now, on a more serious note, security is paramount on a multi-user website. Having an unused feature with unknown access controls could potentially be a vulnerability. The more attack points, the bigger the risk, right?
I understand Elementor is constantly evolving, with awesome new features being added all the time. Wouldn’t it be fantastic if users could customize their admin bar to include only the tools they actually use?
In the meantime, any guidance you can offer on getting rid of those pesky notes would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
