• Hi
two questions I could really use your help with:
    1) can anyone tell me how to display the “Notes” field of a show in the show listing?
    2) I would like to be able to list say 5 past shows, but also list all past shows using either a “more” button or a scroll bar. How can this be done?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @fweijers,

    1) can anyone tell me how to display the “Notes” field of a show in the show listing?

The notes should be rendered beside each show if you are using the [gigpress_shows] shortcode. Is there somewhere else you want to see them (can you link me to an example to help us better understand what you’re shooting for, here)?

I would like to be able to list say 5 past shows, but also list all past shows using either a “more” button or a scroll bar. How can this be done?

Perhaps use something like [gigpress_shows scope="past" limit="5"] to show the initial list and include a link right after it to a page where you show all past shows (just use the same shortcode and alter/remove the limit parameter).

    Might that work?

    Hi Barry

    thanks for your reply.
I am using a theme (shop isle) where I am using widgets in the sidebar.
It al works fine; I have a widget showing “upcoming shows” and a widget showing “past shows” and the latter is limited to 5 past shows. Great.
You can check our page here: https://semistereo.com/bookings/

    However two issues:
    1. I want to have a button that removes the limit of 5 in order to list all shows.
    2. the notes field of a show is not shown. I solve this by adding the text to the name of the venue. Not a proper solution though…

I don’t know how to edit the code of these widgets, maybe you can point out how to do that? Or maybe an alternative solution?
    Thanks much!
