Notery destroy notes

Sorry about that. HTML can not be added to notes, and I have no plans to change that.

There is no question about adding html to the notes. The problem is that plugin clean up text of notes that looks like html. It destroys information entrusted to plugin.

Side note: @forcesail Unless your topic or site is “Not Safe For Work” meaning (as an example) pornography, illicit drug use, etc. then don’t flag your topic as “NSFW”.

Ok. Sorry for incorrect use of “Not Safe For Work” mark. I thought this mark means that the plugin unsafe for work. Thank you, @jdembowski, for the clarification.

Given that it’s the WordPress wp_strip_all_tags() function that is deciding what “looks like html”, I don’t think I can do much about this. I’d hazard a guess that if it looks like HTML, it probably is HTML.

That said, I don’t really know what you had entered into the notes field, or how aggressive the WordPress wp_strip_all_tags() function is when it processes the contents of the notes field.

I’m labeling this topic as resolved because the plugin is functioning correctly as designed (there’s no problem for me to support in this instance), with my explanation above hopefully adding further clarification.

A producer of blocks of sticking-to-fridge notes can’t know what someone will write on one of them, but it’s not a reason to add the special technology to errase words that are not connected with food.
It’s the same here: if it’s note for sticking to a page – it’s just memory note and haven’t an effect of the page appearance or behavior. You can’t know what will someone write in the note for his memory or to share with co-admins, but all written in a note is just a text and there is no reason at all to filter noted text.
I saw that after I lost a lot of my entrusted to plugin work, you added warning in the very foot of the description of the plugin that you clearing off any html-like part of text from the notes but it’s really very strange to do that, unreasonably shrinking the usefulness of the plugin.
