NOTE TO SELF: Take a backup first

I just ran this plugin, attempting to replace one word with another, but rather than replace the string, it has replaced the last letter of every word that ends with one of the letters in the string with the new word. I.E I wanted to replace “note” with “ref”, as I changed another plugin, and now every single word that ends with an “n” or “o” or “t” or an “e” has been changed.
How do I change this back?
