• This plugin worked great, but broke down when interoperating with other vital plugins and customizations in our LearnDash install. I didn’t request a refund because the refund policy requires you to “prove” that the plugin won’t interoperate. Instead I uninstalled it within hours of buying it and cancelled my subscription. Then when I was charged a year later, I got the refund I requested, MINUS the processing fee. In summary, great plugin for relatively simple LD installs. Company policies not so great. Good luck.

Ian, thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback and experience with our plugin and our company. I’m sorry you feel that our company policies are not great. I’d like to provide some clarification and facts about our policies.

Before I do, I also want to let you know that I was able to adjust the refund to the full amount you paid for the plugin. We ate the cost of the transaction fee.

    1. I don’t know what steps you took to cancel the subscription, but our system obviously didn’t have record of the cancellation, otherwise we would not have billed you for a renewal. It could’ve been a glitch with our system, or something on your end, but I can say that we have users who consistently, successfully, cancel their subscriptions, and our system accepts this and does not bill them again.

    2. We don’t REQUIRE you to prove how our plugin doesn’t work. We ASK you to show us how it doesn’t work, and at least give us a chance to help you. Our exact policy states, in part:

“We’d be happy to discuss offering you a refund within 30 days of your initial purchase. Because of the nature of digital software, we do ask the following:
    – You can prove how the plugin fails to do what it is intended to do
    – You give us a chance to help you first”

We have no record of you ever reaching out last year when you noticed the plugin didn’t work with the other tools/code you were using. If you read some other reviews, you’ll see that we go above & beyond to provide custom code, help with things that aren’t even related to our plugin, etc. We would’ve done the same for you and your unique setup, had you just asked.

    3. As far as company policies go, I think ours is mostly in line with others in the WordPress plugin business. We state that we don’t provide refunds on renewal purchases, but in most cases, we actually do refund those who ask. Most folks are okay with the small fee we hold onto. And we’re not making any profit off of that fee. It’s simply to cover our cost that Stripe & PayPal charge us even when we refund a customer.

    4. I wish you the best of luck with all your future LearnDash and/or LMS projects.
