• If you want to make a true HTML version, this plugin does not do it. When you create an HTML version it keeps all images and scripts on the WordPress site to be pulled to the static site thus slowing it down. There is no way, even in the Pro version to export all resources with a new URL for easy upload to a server to display. I am trying another plugin called Simply Static that seems to be working.

@irishmugger, I apologize for the inconvenience you’ve experienced with our plugin. We genuinely value your feedback and take your concerns seriously. After carefully reviewing your comments, I’d like to address the issues you’ve raised.

Firstly, let me assure you that our plugin is designed to provide a seamless HTML version creation process. We have meticulously incorporated various settings and options to cater to different user preferences.

Regarding the concern about images and scripts slowing down the static site, we do offer a solution in the “Advanced” settings tab. You can find an option there to “Save all asset files to a specific directory (css, js, images, fonts, audios, etc).” By default, this option is activated to streamline the process. However, if you prefer the assets to be saved with their original URLs, such as “/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/24/image.jpg,” you can simply uncheck this option.

Moreover, for users who wish to exclude any assets from the export, such as CSS, JS, or images, we have provided a convenient “Skip Assets (Css, Js, Images or Videos)” setting in both the “WP Pages” and “Custom URLs” tabs.

It’s essential to understand that our plugin is designed to optimize the export process and not inherently slow down any exported HTML. If you’ve encountered any performance issues on your static site, it’s possible that other factors may be at play, such as hosting configurations or other installed plugins.

Your satisfaction is our utmost priority, and we are more than willing to assist you in resolving any difficulties you might face. If you’d be willing to give our plugin another chance, we’d be happy to guide you through the settings or troubleshoot any specific concerns.

We value your input, and I want to personally thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. Constructive feedback like yours helps us improve our plugin and deliver a better user experience.

If you have any further questions, need assistance, or would like to discuss anything in more detail, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team. We’d love the opportunity to turn your experience around and ensure your satisfaction.

Once again, thank you for bringing these matters to our attention, and we hope you reconsider your review. Your satisfaction is paramount to us, and we look forward to the possibility of restoring your confidence in our plugin.

    Best regards,
    Rayhan Kabir (The plugin author)

@recorp There is nothing at all here that needs a moderator to intervene.

You use the plugin page here to advertise the pro version and any feedback about that experience is valid.
