Not worth the effort

  • This plugin didn’t even begin to work with my theme. Support is slow, and comes with a bit of attitude.

    My issue was putting in columns for something – a portfolio maybe I don’t recall – I set it to show 4 pictures in a row of 4 – so one row of 4 pictures. I got 4 rows of 1 picture with 4 pages more to follow (so 16 images total). Took days to get a response, by then I had already deleted the plugin and gone with a different page layout.

    I’d find another way, especially if you don’t have the right theme to go with it – not that there is any indication of which theme that might be.

    Yours is an unfair review by someone with unrealistic expectations. We are having similar issues, but it is not the fault of ASE, it’s just how things work with WP. The ASE team has been fantastic with their responsiveness and I really believe in what they are doing. Bought all their add-ons and am excited about the possibilities.

    You guys might face more reviews like the one above if you don’t take the time to explain things a bit more up front. What I mean is, not all of your customers will be developers who properly understand all the issues. I suggest you add some infographic and detailed explanation that outlines the roles of themes, child themes, plugins, etc. so that people will understand exactly what to expect. In any case, keep up the great work. You guys are truly awesome.

    This review gets 0 stars. It is not fair to blame this plugin for being uncompatable with your theme. No where in the plugin description does it say that this plugin was created for your theme. This plugin was created for WordPress. Maybe you should look at getting a different theme that does not have problems with plugins.
