Not working with TwentyTwelve theme

I have upgraded to WordPress 3.5.1 and the new TwentyTwelve theme so that we can support mobile users more easily. As part of this upgrade I installed this plugin and created a gallery on a page using Add Media which eventually produced gallery link=file in square brackets. On the desktop all is fine but on an iPhone or iPad only a single image appears when a thumbnail is tapped and you have to press the back button and select another thumbnail. Yuk!
I notice that when the single image is being displayed the web address concludes with #PhotoSwipe and a long number which changes each time a thumbnail is tapped. The iPhone and iPad are running iOS 6.1 and Safari.
