    Hi

I have discovered that your plugin is not working with PayPal. What card payments can I use to get it working as it should? Will the bug not working with PayPal be fixed in the future?

    Hi @ringdal,

Could you please elaborate more regarding the issue you are having? It’ll be better if you could provide us with an indicated screenshot or a screencast showing the issue.

Also, may I know which PayPal plugin that you are using?

I am using the starndard Paypal which comes packed as a feature in woocommerce newest edition. There is really nothing to it with a screenshot. Prior to installing Advanced coupns, I have 2 options when clicking refund: Manual refund and Refund through Paypal (2 buttons). After installing Advanced coupons and activating Store Credit, it is still showing the buttons; Manual refund and Refund through Paypal. I even tested refund with PayPal to see if it would allow me to create store credit and it just did do a refund throug PayPal as it normally does.

I also tried creating the store credit coupn directly by choosing customer and it did nor allow me to choose customer as the list only showed those who were registered as wordpress users, not customer susers (who btw do not have to be users in the system). I have worked with IT for 30 years and wordpress 18 years. So I am pretty well aware of it when a plugin is not working as it should. I.e. I did NOT forget to activate the store credit function.

    with kind regards

Hi Maria, we’re definitely not questioning your expertise so not sure why you jumped there… if you re-read your original message it didn’t say what part of the plugin wasn’t working so just trying to get clear on that. In future it would be great if you could provide more specifics on what in particular isn’t working right as this helps us avoid back and forth and frustration on your part…

Store credit can be used as a refund and it should show like below:

Regarding PayPal, we don’t touch any of their features with our free plugin. I would suggest doing a basic debug to see if this is caused by our plugin or another plugin. We haven’t had any reports about PayPal working on our support line and since it’s a very popular gateway we usually hear about it quite quickly from multiple users at once. Just want to rule out that there’s not another extension causing the issue, would be great if you can try and isolate it and provide steps as that may help us replicate.

Lastly, re your question about creating a store credit coupon, not sure how you were going about this but we don’t have a store credit coupon type. Store credit managed on a per users basis and can only be used with registered customers. This is because to give a store credit we must have a user account to associate it with. Guest customers will unfortunately not be able to use store credit.

Hope this helps! Let me know how you go on the debugging.

    Hi

did contact you guys also through email and in the mail it was suggested that I might have forgot to activate the store credit, hence my comment. ?? Haha.. no hard feelings… im just so used to getting simple feedback on bugs since my name is Maria and female as if most out there assume that one knows nothing and has no idea what I am asking about even… haha… it was preventative comment ??

Anyway.. I would like to purchase the plugin if it is supposed to work with my system

If I would do that – would support help me figure this out? I ask as I am half handicapped as my right arm is broken and not working since last summer and not getting better and its a drag having to disable and enable things again.. and I already did try to disable the paypal but it the paypal button was still showing there after disabling paypal.. perhaps as the order was already paid through paypal.

    HI @ringdal,

Could you please confirm if the issue that you’re having is that you can’t refund an order as store credit on your website?

Could you please check if this specific Order was made by a registered customer on your website or a guest user?

If it is the later, it won’t work as the store credit would be added to the customer account on your website. So if they are a guest user, you can only refund them via the payment gateway they made the order with.
