Read a couple of previous posts on this support section and can’t seem to find an answer. I just installed this and configured it with the API key and all the other required entries.

I was logged out of WP when I tried the form. It appeared to send and gave me the message the form was sent, but no confirmation email from the chimp.

Just checked the subscribe list and there is no indication the form went through.

    Any help available on this?

  • Same issue…any luck?

I am having the same problem. I am able to enter the test email on the site and then there is the Thank you requesting you confirm your email..But I do not receive an email. Is there a time delay?

I figured it out based on another post.
Basically, the list settings in Mail Chimp may require additional fields. If this is the case and you are not passing in those fields, it won’t work (and it won’t give an error).

So, just go with the simple name and email fields as being required and then make sure that the plugin is setup to display those fields.

I couldn’t get the custom fields to display, so I didn’t make those required.

I’m having the same exact issues. It used to work now it no longer does. I input the api key + the list key, I only use the name + email field. I test it out myself, get the confirmation message. However, no email ever comes and there are no new pending subscribers when I log on from Mail Chimp.

    Hey all,

First of all, when testing make sure to test with an emailaddress that is not already on your list. This may seems obvious but I’m stating it since MailChimp will just silently ignore email addresses which are already on your list.

Then, as guynumber6 said you will need to provide MailChimp with all the required fields. You can set some default data for every required field via the additional data fields in the Newsletter Sign-Up settings pages.

On a side note, I strongly suggest to switch to my newer plugin called MailChimp for WordPress as it is easier to configure and will include a whole lot more than what is currently in Newsletter Sign-Up.

    Danny
