    Hi

I have created a custom taxonomy that runs across all my CPT’s.
Lets say the custom taxonomy is ‘Languages’ and a term is ‘Portuguese’

I added a few posts to that term.

But when I search for Portuguese, nothing shows

    Hi,

Make sure that the search in terms option is enabled here.

I see that a few posts show when I type ‘portuguese’, however when I press ‘Enter’ it goes to the wordpress search results page, but the results are different.

I thought it was because I was using Ajax Load More plugin to display search results, but I disable that and the native wordpress results page don’t show the same results as it shows when I just type ‘portuguese’ in the search bar.

I have tried with the “Override the default WordPress search results?” On and Off and also with the GET and POST methods, but still no dice.

I also tried with the ‘Try to replace the theme search with Ajax Search Lite form?’ ON. and still doesn’t work.

I am using the DIVI theme, should I do something else?

Do I need to buy the pro version?

I don’t think buying the Pro version will not help in this case. If the override is activated, it should work. Check if you have any other search plugins active by accident. Also, if you made any changes to the theme files, that could explain it as well.
Try switching to the default theme (twenty twenty or twenty twenty one) temporarily, to see if it works there. If not, then it is a custom code or a plugin somewhere, if yes, then it is something with the other theme. DIVI should work all right though, unless there is a feature I don’t know about – like some sort of a custom made search results page via a custom plugin or something like that.

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I activated the twenty twenty theme but still got only 1 result. When I use the search form your plugin I get way more.

    Should I change it to a custom url? right now is the s={phrase}

Im cloning the website now and I will deactivate all plugins except the CPT UI, ACF and yours and test again with Divi and with twenty twenty

That URL should be okay. If the issue persists on the default theme, then it is either a custom code or another plugin causing the problem.
Make sure the “Override the default WordPress search results?” option is enabled at all times.

    Hi, thanks for the reply,

Unfortunately, the issue is with Ajax Load More plugin It does not show the results like your plugin, it’s a shame ??

Unfortunately usually combining multiple content search/filter related plugins can cause conflicts.

What would you recommend to use as a search page results with the results your plugin brings?

Well, I recommend not to use any plugin for the results page, usually it is a bad idea. The results page is controlled by the theme. I rather recommend making programmatical modifications via a child theme if you want to change it.

You guys do custom work, what I want is rather simple to look but may be out of my league to do. Is there an email address I can send my requirements and you provide me with a quote?
