Not working with 4.8.2/Big Brother

Hi – thanks for the feedback. Are you viewing the homepage of your site in the customizer? The settings will only show if the homepage is the current page.

Yes, I am looking at the customizer with the homepage as the current page.

When I navigate to Customize > Homepage settings, I only see this:

Your homepage displays
[ √ ] Your latest posts
[ ] A static page

There is no option to select either excerpts or full posts.

At some point over the past updates, the posts began to appear as full posts rather than excerpts. I had to add a “read more” tag in the edit mode so only the top of the post appeared. However, I want my crafted excerpts to show, not a portion of the full post.

I need more information to be able to solve this.

Hi @binarymoon I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.
