I installed and activated the plugin but BuddyPress registration page appears unchanged, unfortunately. Is this plugin still working with current WordPress and BuddyPress versions? I am also on PHP 7.4, in case that is helpful.

  • I have the same problem. Doesn’t work.
Too bad there’s no more information on this.
It could be a very useful plugin.
The registration form from buddypress doesn’t even work, mail is not sent.
Because the Disable BuddyPress Registration plugin doesn’t work I unfortunately have to remove all plugins from buddypress and find something that does work with wordpress registration.
Too bad because everything else works perfectly.
Hopefully someone has an easy solution.

@desmetjozef — I resolved this by moving to BuddyBoss, which is the free successor plugin to BuddyPress–it is much nicer and I highly recommend checking it out!

    With Buddyboss. Same problem.
Cannot be registered via wordpress wp-login.php registration.

@hastibe @desmetjozef buddybos is not a successor it is just a copy/rip off (and an unethical one), underneath buddyboss is buddypress

    All,

send some links and I′ll try to look into it. Noting that it works fine on my installation and many others….

    Dear shawfactor
What I wanted to do is allow users to login through my wordpress login page (wp-login.php).
I can’t do this, is there an option to make this work?
Maybe by cancelling the registration via buddyboss?
I’m a rookie and I don’t know anything about php or anything like that.
I can’t give you links from my site because it isn’t online yet.
    Thanks

This plugin has nothing to do with login and should not effect the usual login functionality in anyway.

The plugin functions to turn off the buddypress registration functionality…

I am resolving this for good order but will still monitor the thread.

    Dear shawfactor

I am a layman and have misinformed you because it is about the registration and not about the login because this works well indeed.
    I’m sorry for the misinformation.
My english is not so good because of that the wrong info
    greetings

    Has anyone solved this problem?

@ozontm7 — I was able to resolve it by using the registration settings built-in to the free BuddyBoss plugin, instead of using BuddyPress.

Buddyboss is buddypress. The buddyboss guys just free ride on the buddypress project by copying the code and adding their own branding and options. It’s unethical and harmful but legal behaviour

Anyway if anyone want me to debug their issue I’m happy to help but please keep this related to support.
