Not working on static home.php?

Hey, this plug-in looks great! Unfortunately this is not working on my static home.php page? I tested it on an example page (pages > add new) and it seems to work fine.

However when inserted as [easy_portfolio] onto my home.php page, it just renders as text (“[easy_portfolio]”). In other words it doesn’t render at all.

Could this be my lack of understanding of WordPress functionality or am I missing something, like an adjustable setting.
