Not working on Siteground server

  • I installed this plugin about 2 years to disable the WP heartbeat when Siteground gave one of my sites a CPU overuse warning. It solved the problem then. However the problem is back and Siteground has reported that the heartbeat is indeed enabled, even though Heartbeat Control has it set to be disabled.

    Wordpress Version: 4.8
    Plugin Version: 1.0.3

  • Not sure this is related, but I just got a CPU over-use from SiteGround as well over the last 12 hours.
    One of the factors causing it was Heartbeat.
    I tried installing this plugin, but it would not let me manage the settings (weirdly “you are not allowed to view this page”), and then would revert itself to inactivated.
    Using a different plug in for the moment, but looking forward to an update to this one?

    Siteground doesn’t seem to like the WP heartbeat. ??

    This is odd because siteground support just recommended that I install this plugin do to CPU usage.
