• Hi there, I am trying to figure out if the issue my site has with ie8 is ie8 or is it local to my computer and is there something wrong with my installation of it? The site is https://canadacellphone.ca/jewelry/ it is fine on firefox and chrome. I am pretty sure it was ok on ie8 until recently but I have had issues with ie8 on other tings so it could be local to me. I tried looking at it through a proxy and through a browser shot sites and it looks ok but I am not sure if i am doing the right things to figure it out. Everyone here is so helpful I thank you in advance.

  • It looks fine to me. What do you exactly call “not working”?

    well in ie8, the menu does not work, the backgroudn image does not resize like it does in the others so no repeating of it and in ie8 the words “artisan pendants” etc are transparent as is the signature Angelique meaning you can see the background through it

    thank you so much Andrezv for getting back to me as well

    You’re welcome ??

    I’m seeing that all OK. I’d suggest you to clear your browser cache, maybe some source file (CSS or JS) is not loading correctly for you.

    so it seems like the problem is local to my computer…that is a good thing… thank you again andrezrv so nice of you to help

    @andrezrv – are you using IE8?

    Yes, I am. But your post made me suspicious that I was missing something, so I had to look at wilma2’s website again. It happens that the backgrounds of the titles over the sidebar images are indeed transparent, so it seems that those filters should be fixed. Did you noticed something else? The menu and the background are working fine for me.

    What do you mean andrezev by fixing the filters? Can you tell me, is the background the sea picture covering the whole screen or does it begin to repeat? Like i said for me the menu does not work, it is a drop down btw so there shoudl be options there.

    @wilma2 – if you are having problems with the theme, you might want to check with the theme developer – as it says it is compatible with IE8 –
