Prior to the latest post, this plugin has been working fine.
For some reason, on the most recent posting, it’s linking to the image instead of the post itself… not too sure why…

    Hi @migspower,

If you try changing the latest post to a draft, does the same problem happen on the ‘Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion Trip’ post?

This will help us to see if there is some HTML within your latest post that is breaking the function.

Hi, Ok, sounds like a plan. Thanks for the response ??

I just gave it a try. The problem does not happen on the Rolex Monterey Motorsports post when I turn the latest post into a draft.

Thanks for checking that. This means that there is something within that particular post which is causing it. Is there any custom HTML or Javascript within that post’s content? Have you made any changes to that post as part of the code editor rather than the visual editor?

    Accidental duplicate. Ignore this comment.

As far as extra HTML or Javascript for the latest post…I haven’t done any extra editing besides stuff in the visual editor. I checked in the text editor, and I don’t see anything out of the ordinary.

One thing that may give us some clues though… I went into an older post, and I tried adding a new image to the beginning of the post. When I went to my site’s home, the link to that post was also messed up (same situation as the latest post). When I deleted that new image (to return the post to the way it was before), it was still messed up, with the original #1 image not linking to the post. If you go here: https://www.dreamersoul.tv/category/tuning/ and scroll to “Handbrake Appreciation Day,” you’ll see what I mean.

Thanks for the extra info, I’m trying to think what might cause that but it is very strange. One more test we can try: if you temporarily deactivate all other plugins does that fix the issue?

    Okay… I found the problem… it’s really weird, but here goes…

I’m using a gallery plugin called NextGenGallery, and before, this whole thing was working right alongside your plugin. BUT, for some reason, NGG started adding images to posts in this sort of way…

    instead of…

So, turns out that ending the img tag with just > doesn’t do it, and it needs the /> for your plugin to pick it up. WordPress does do it with /> so I guess this is a problem with NGG.

Thanks for your time giving this attention. Looks like it’s ok now…

Ah ok, no problem! NGG really should be adding /> so that it is the correct format. Hopefully they will fix that in the next update.

I’ll check if it’s something we can take into account in this plugin too.
