Not working, no shows.

  • the plugin magically starting working again… no idea why. Plugin author mentioned he was going to remove built-in caching which apparently caused problems.

    Hey all (Alex and anyone else),

    The transient caching I built-in a few versions back seems to be causing more problems than it fixes. It was intended to speed up loading your site and getting the data from ArtistData. Its supposed to refresh a few times a day, but it appears WordPress’s transient system isn’t the best system for this purpose. Like Alex said, I’m planning to remove it in the next version.

    I’m currently working on a rewrite of the entire plugin to remove the caching as well as address the example data error. I can’t give an exact deadline when the updated plugin will be ready, but I am working on it.

    Haven’t heard anything new on this in three months. Also, updated plugin last night to remove the transient caching, so this shouldn’t be an issue going forward. Marking as resolved.
