I am trying to set up your plugin but nothing seems to work.

I hit “get started” on your plugin, I follow all the automatic procedure on facebook hitting “continue” all the time, it does its magic and in the end I read “You’re all set!”.

But when I hit the blue button “DONE” I get redirected to:
    https://connect.woocommerce.com/auth/facebook/?code=”STRANGE LONG CODE”

And I get a general error:
“Something went wrong when connecting to Facebook! Please try again.”
    error.

How can I troubleshoot this? I don’t see any log or similar…

I hope you can help me
    thanks
    kind regards

  • Hi?@schifo,

Thanks for writing to us about Facebook for WooCommerce! I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. I’m sorry to hear that the plugin isn’t working as expected. I am happy to help with this. ??

We have a snippet that will give us some additional error information, which may give us a better indication as to what might be happening here. Can you please add the following snippet to your site and attempt to connect to Facebook again? If you aren’t familiar with adding custom code to your site, here is some information as to how to do it. Personally, I like the free Code Snippets plugin method.

    Here is the snippet:

    add_filter( ‘wc_facebook_connection_proxy_url’, function() { return ‘https://wc-connect-test.skyverge.com/auth/facebook/’;} );

Once the snippet is in place and you have had a chance to try to connect to Facebook again, would you please send along any additional error messages that show?

    Cheers,
    Benjamin

    Thanks for the advices.
As this was an urgent thing as our campaigns ROI was completely wrong, we needed to find a quick solution and we found it. So I don’t need your plugin anymore.
But thanks for your answer anyway
    kind regards
