• First of all, thanks for the great plugin. It was working now for years without any issue.

After the last update I can not visit the settings page. Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 78 bytes)

My site is hosted on WPEngine. To increase the memory did not fix the issue.

The issue happens direct under “Anonymous Requests By”

I hope someone can help me with this issue. Otherwise I lose great functionality.

    Thanks,
    Sven

    Hi Sven,

I’m sorry to hear the new update is not working for you.

We’ll try to replicate the issue and put a patch in place for you, but it’ll help if you could please let us know:
    – What version of the plugin did you upgraded from? 1.5 maybe?
    – Are you using the Contact Form?
    – I assume you have checked ON the “Anonymous Requests” option, can you recall what agent should appear on the select box just beside “Anonymous Requests By”?
    – Are you using the Feedback Tab?
    – Could I ask you for a dump of the settings of your plugin to be able to replicate 100% what you are experiencing? You could retrieve the serialised settings string using this SQL query on your WordPress database:
    SELECT option_value FROM wp_options WHERE option_name = "zendesk-settings" \G

Something is clearly wrong (e.g.: the settings have inconsistent values) and it’s going into a memory consuming loop, it’s not a problem with the amount of memory you’ve allocated, don’t worry about this.

If you prefer contacting using email/zendesk rather than this forum, please feel free to send an email to [email protected], we’ll grab that ticket and follow up until this is working for you.

    Cheers

    Hi mmolina,

    thanks for your quick response.

*- What version of the plugin did you upgraded from? 1.5 maybe?*
–> I think 1.5. I always keep everything up to date.

    – Are you using the Contact Form?
–> I did not but now if I activated the plugin I have the embed contact form in the right corner.

    – I assume you have checked ON the “Anonymous Requests” option, can you recall what agent should appear on the select box just beside “Anonymous Requests By”?
–> No I do not have it . There is where the issue pops up. Please see the screenshot.

    – Are you using the Feedback Tab?
–> No I only use the plugin for the user login to connect my WP with Zendesk.

    – Could I ask you for a dump of the settings of your plugin to be able to replicate 100% what you are experiencing? You could retrieve the serialised settings string using this SQL query on your WordPress database:
    SELECT option_value FROM wp_options WHERE option_name = “zendesk-settings” \G

I have deleted the zendesk-settings option, but I run into the same issue. I will send you the option export via mail.

    Many thanks for your help.

    Greetings,
    Sven

    Hi Svenl77,

We rolled out a new version of the plugin to 1.6.3. Have you tried updating to latest version? Are you encountering any problems so far?
