I tried another solution for a tabbed page, but I wasn’t happy with the results. Your solution looks good, so I’m trying to use it.

My site is using the Gantry framework with its default theme called Rockettheme. Unfortunately, the tabs are displayed as a list, that can’t be clicked, and only the content from the first tab is showing. I deactivated the framework and theme on another test site, and it worked fine.

The site’s programming relies heavily on this theme and the deadline is getting close, so I can’t start looking at another theme. I’ve looked in the base files and everything appears correct.

Any guidance would be appreciated, thanks.

I’ve just tried Gantry with a companion theme and other required dependencies on my test site and it appears that something in Gantry or one of the dependancies breaks the plugin.

To confirm that this is an issue caused by the gantry framework, you can try switching to the default twenty fifteen theme, and deactivating all the gantry stuff.

I noticed that with the gantry framework & theme active it is not possible to add WordPress menus by the usual method as it has its own interface which must be used instead. Although this particular bit of wheel-reinventing is probably not related to the issue with Tabby Responsive Tabs, it is cause for concern as it indicates that this theme/framework probably ignores other WordPress conventions.

That’s unfortunate, thanks for the quick reply!

I mentioned this on a thread that I started previously, but since you’re also using a gantry theme and experiencing the same issue, I figured I’d mention this here as well.

A user in a recent review posted a ‘fix’ that worked for them, and I figured that I’d give it a try as well. Adding “wp_enqueue_style( ‘tabby’ );” to tabby-responsive-tabs.php at line 129 will fix the issue.
