Not working in GAE?

Setup a WP site according to https://developers.google.com/appengine/articles/wordpress
Installed slidedeck2 locally and deployed it to the cloud. Upon enabling hte plugin, logs show PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function slidedeck2_cache_group()
