I’m using mb.audioplayer successfully in a site based on Elegant Themes Origin https://VocalessenceByAmy.com . There’s a player under every tile on the home page, at the bottom of each post. Looks great and works great!

When I tried doing a similar thing in a site I’ve inherited, using the Ashford Pro theme, I get nothing. I can see the generated code upon inspection, but nothing shows up but the title as a live link to an mp3 file. You can see a page here:

There’s a Flash player on the page at the moment because we can’t lose functionality–the Flash player is the original designer’s choice–but I have tried removing it first, then adding the following code to the page, and it still doesn’t work.

    CORFF SPEAKERS METHOD

I’ve tried other HTML5 audio players and they show up and work fine. I just don’t like the added bells and whistles they have for this site. Your player is the perfect solution, if I can get it to work.

    Thanks for your help…

    Hi,
The theme you are using is overwriting the default WordPress jQuery including a really old one (1.3.2) that is incompatible with the player.
You should find where the theme is including it and try removing that inclusion as WordPress itself includes the updated version.

    Bye,
    Matteo
