Not working: I tick widget controller but nothing appears so cant select page

I’m using wordpress theme Twenty Eleven: When I tick widget controller a small white line appears at the bottom of the box but the selection does not appear so I can’t select where i would like them to show. Any ideas please? THANK YOU
