    Hi there

unfortunately the plugin doesn’t work for me at all due to JS errors. When starting to type a word or phrase to search for I get the following error message in the console:

Uncaught TypeError: Failed to execute 'replaceChild' on 'Node': parameter 1 is not of type 'Node'.
        at Hilitor2.remove (search-inside.min.js:1)
        at Hilitor2.apply (search-inside.min.js:1)
        at HTMLInputElement.c (search-inside.min.js:1)

I’ve been trying the plugin on two completely different WordPress instance but get the same errors with both installations.

    Could you please check?

    Thanks and Cheers, Carsten

    Thanks @justyumyum,

    What browser you use?

Have you tried browsing in private mode to confirm that it’s not due to a browser extension?

If you like, send me the site url with the plugin active and I’ll take a look at it.

    Regards!

Looks like I’m getting this problem as well.
I’ve tried it in Chrome, Firefox, Safari. Private mode too.
I can input words into the search field but that is all, no highlighting.
Any direction would be great, thanks!

Apparently it conflicts with some plugin or theme installed on the site. If you test it with a clean installation of WordPress it works properly.

I will look at it more closely when I have some time and let you know if I find out what is causing the problem.

It would be helpful to know the plugins and theme installed on your sites.

    Have a nice weekend!

    Thanks for the info.
I’m using the siteOrigin North theme, with their widget bundle and page builder.
I went through and deactivated each plugin, even the page builder with no luck.
Unfortunately it’s not an option for us to change themes. We’d love to use your plugin so any solution you can find would be greatly appreciated.
Have a great weekend as well!

Thank you very much for the info @adtron9000,

As it is not directly related to the plugin, I will consider this topic solved.

If I have the opportunity to test this theme and find out where the error is coming from, I’ll reopen this topic and let you know.

    Regards!
