• Plugin doesn’t do anything, played with the settings for hours and can’t get above the 50% mobile 60% Desktop and almost all errors are still there

In spite of the rumours, Autoptimize is not a magical all-in-one pagespeed insights checker @yellowgreenmedia; it “just” does CSS/ JS optimization and can “fix” most of the warnings GSPI issues regarding render-blocking CSS/JS & JS/CSS minification (some config might be needed, cfr. FAQ). But optimizing images; no. Optimizing server response time; no. Optimizing external resources (fonts/ JS/ CSS from Google, Facebook, …); no.

So it seems your one-star-review is entirely based on wrong assumptions ??

But I’ll be happy to review your AO config & your GPSI warnings with you, if you’d like to pursue.

Where did i say that it was a one click magic plugin? Don’t put words in my mouth please, i do not appreciate that, i am saying that the plugin doesn’t do anything even after hours of tinkering with the settings, none of the errors it claims to resolve doesn’t get solved at all…

    Waste of time imho.

Autoptimize plugin stopped working for me too ever since I updated to new version 2.2.1 a few days ago. Previous version worked great but now, anytime I click to use it, it now shows “Your Autoptimize cache might not have been purged successfully, please check on the Autoptimize settings page.” What happened? Any help greatly appreciated!!!!

I’ll be happy to look into this @jamesbarren, but can you open a topic for this on the support forum (this is the reviews-section)?
