    Ok, got it to work now:
    1. I created an own API key with my server’s IP address.
    2. Set all Google Calendars to public.
    3. Updated all GCE feeds in WordPress by copying the (new) feed IDs from Google.

    Works with imported feeds as well as with calendars created in Google Calendar.

    Same problem.

    Same here, even after creating API key. I unshared, and then reshared my Google Calendar. Feed ID stayed the same. I flushed the cache. Still the same error.

    Is there something else I need to do?

    Not working here either. Since the API issue, I was forced to update. Tried my own API key, tried creating a new shared calendar, tried creating a new feed. Nothing. Try to click the next button on the calendar view and receive a “Request has failed.”

    @kreativhuhn,

    Glad you got it working.

    For everyone else if you are upgrading please first make sure you are using the new method for the “Feed URL” – which is now getting the calendar ID. You can see the new steps here:

    https://wpdocs.philderksen.com/google-calendar-events/getting-started/find-calendar-id/

    After you have done that let me know if you are still having issues.

    Just to let you know that it works now, after changing the “feed URL”:

    Thanks,

    So where do you find where to add the Feed URL, I’ve followed the instructions you’ve posted and I can’t find anywhere to add a feed. Becoming very frustrated with the plugin after the latest update its a huge step backwards. Been trying for a week to get this figured out got an API code and nothing any help would be great.

    Goto WP backend, then goto your “Google Calendar Feeds”, click “edit”, scroll until you see “Feed Settings”, there you find “Google Calendar ID”, where you can paste your Feed URL.

    Good luck,

    Okay, where might that be? I know a little about where to find things. is that in the plugin editor? or somewhere else.

    @aluder1

    If you are in the backend of WP (Dashboard), in the left column you find “GCal Events”, place your cursor on “GCal Events”, then choose “All GCal Feeds”, then click on “Edit”, then scroll until you see “Feed Settings”, there you find “Google Calendar ID”, where you can paste your Feed URL.

    Hope this helps.

    Xafari,

    Thanks I found that area, I added the feed with my calendar ID made sure the widget had the correct ID #, it still won’t display my events on the calendar. Any other thought or ideas?

    Thanks in advance

    (@sluder1)

    Yeah, I did the update didn’t help…thanks for your help I figure I’ll give it a few more days and try some other suggestions people have and if it doesn’t work I’ll just delete it and try something else. This use to be the best calendar plugin now its just frustrating.
