Hi, You are using the Pro version please contact us via our website here – https://wpauctions.com/contact/

This is not a bug, it’s just letting you know that the plugin needs to be set up. Visit the ‘WP Auctions > Auction Settings’ admin page and select an auction engine and enter a payment option. Once you’ve done that you’re done. If the message still appears refresh the page and it should be gone.

Here’s our support article on that: https://www.wpauctions.com/faqs/wp-auctions-hasnt-been-configured-yet/

I’m currently trying to use the free version before I pay for it.

But love nor money can I get it to work.

Am I missing something but I want an auction page, not something in my side bar?

@verbier you can embed an auction in your page, but you need to create it first.

Next you can create a post/page and look for the auction custom panel, it will somewhere below the write area. A dropdown will show you your options to insert an auction into your post/page, after you’ve inserted it you can edit the option to show the auction in a post. Enter the post/page URL there and you’re good to go.

The above step is necessary to form a relation with the post/page and the auction.

In the Pro version this step is easier as the relation is set via a single button click.

Yes found the option on the post but it just crated an empty page?

Great plug on the pro but no one is going to pay for a more advance version if they can’t get the basic one working.

If I like the basic I will upgrade but right now I can’t get it to work

Not sure what you mean by an empty page?

The plugin does not create a page, it simply embeds the created active auction into a post/page. Like this: https://demotest.wpauctions.com/auction-in-a-post/

This is a later version, but the auction in a post feature is fundamentally the same.

If you can be more clear about what’s not working I can help further.

The normal page template loads, but absolutely nothing from the plugin loads.
So my header, my side bars etc are all loading correctly.

If you like there is nothing in the middle of the page where you would expect something to be.

Can you post a link to your site with an active test auction, either embedded or with the WP Auctions sidebar widget in place.

    Kev

    (@verbier-kev)

It should be showing in the main page

    https://www.kartingextremeverbier.com/2015/08/test-2/

I somehow got it to work on the side bar, by uninstalling it a few times

The ski rental uses the ajac pop up that remains blank

The ice karting should take you to a post https://www.kartingextremeverbier.com/2015/08/test-2/?auction_id=2

    But the post shows nothing

A blank page, or the code not showing, is usually a PHP error. From past experience I can say that this is due to a server side issue or a conflict with another plugin.

If I can ask you to somehow set up another test site with your current theme and just the WP Auctions plugin active to see if it works first like that. If it does, activate each plugin you use one by one to see where the error could be from. If you find that it’s not another plugin/theme issue then we can assume that it’s something deeper for which we need to log into your site/hosting panel and look through your error logs.

Since each and every WordPress install is different we can’t test across all possibilities so as of now the only solution I can provide is what I’ve stated above.

I can see if my developer can give you some input later on.

I see that you’re putting the <?php wp_auctions(1); ?> into your post. You don’t need to do that.

When you write your post you’ll see a panel called “Insert Auction”, use that to insert your auction. Let me know how it goes.

    Kev

    (@verbier-kev)

yes I added the code to see if that made it work, it didn’t.

An yes I have used the “Insert Auction” and still doesn’t work

    Kev

    (@verbier-kev)

Looking at it, when you click the “insert auction ” button what is it supposed to do?

I click the button there is no visual change, and if I try to leave the page there is no warning about leaving the page without saving? Its as if it is doing nothing?

    Plugin Author Weborithm

    (@weborithm)

It’s supposed to insert the auction shortcode into your write area, like this for example: [wpauction id=”5″ /] where 5 would be the ID of the auction.

    Kev

    (@verbier-kev)

    So that not happening.

The Ski test one is set to use the pop up, but the popup comes up with no text or Image. ??

The second test was to take it to a page (Ice karting)https://www.kartingextremeverbier.com/2015/08/test-2/?auction_id=2

Which now works not that I had manually added the code from above.
