• They advertise this as an app that “connects your WooCommerce website to Facebook”… but they fail to include in that information that you can’t actually sync your products with your store… so really this plugin is worthless when it comes to setting up a Facebook/Instagram Shop.

Finally found their support post stating that they “recommend that US merchants refrain from utilizing the plugin to set up Facebook/Instagram Shops during this period”… Would have been nice to know that before we wasted all of this time. If it doesn’t work for US merchants, say that in the very beginning so you don’t waste people’s time.

  • Hi @mmelt,

The extension allows merchants in supported locations to sync products to Facebook. However, there’s a recent requirement from Facebook for users in the US to use Checkout on Facebook and Instagram, a feature not currently supported by the extension.

The extension is developed by us at WooCommerce, and we’re currently in discussions with Facebook to find a solution for their recent requirement for US merchants.

In the meantime, merchants in the US can utilize the plugin for pixel integration and Facebook Ads to promote their product catalogs across Meta platforms?without any concerns.
