• Could someone look at my site (www.idowens.com) and chk the CSS and XHTML validation links at the bottom to help me interpret the code…I’d like to know what I’ve done to mess it up so I can get it back to being valid but i’m not sure i understand it well….

Hm, fun stuff you have there. Probably the best thing you can do is to search for the specific errors over at https://www.w3.org to find a way to fix them. I got all my code validated through trial-and-error and reading over at W3c. One you get your XHTML validated, the CSS validator will work properly. The CSS validator’s error explanations are a bit easier to understand than the XHTML validator’s. Do you have DreamWeaver at all? If you do, you can work with the index.php file offline and validate as you go, it’s the best way to go IMO.

Mac, Thanks for the suggestion. I do not have dreamweaver (a macromedia product, no?) yet, because before implementing WP I was using a tables/frames based page and used MS’s Frontpage (now I see how much it bloats code though)….I can pickup DW if it will help that much though….Thanks again. (Other suggestions are still welcomed until I get a copy of DW)

Idowens, if you’re a college student right now, find out if your campus has a computer store or head over to academicsuperstore.com . You should be able to get a full version of DW for $99. Now, go forth and never look at FrontPage again! ^_-

You may want to just play around by making changes to index.php through the templates options in WP. Just remember to keep a backup copy lying around.

I have full serverside access so I’ve been updating via wordpad and then just uploading via my FTP…I don’t like the idea of editing via the web. Anywho, thanks for the tip on the college discount.
