Not Updating “wp_posts” table / “guid” column

  • Just putting this out there for conversation. I moved a site from a staging URL to its final home. Search And Replace picked up all the replacements except the data in the following table/column “wp_posts”/”guid”.

    Replace Domain URL doesn’t see it so I tried Search & Replace. After running Search & Replace I previewed the SQL file with a text editor and the old path was still present.

    I finally gave up and went into phpMyAdmin and ran an UPDTATE query to fix the paths.

    Any thoughts on what might cause this?
