Everything was fine until 2 weeks ago.

I link my blog home page to my website home page. Every time I post a new blog the link still directs to the old homepage not to the updated one.

I have to link the specific page of the new blog to the website. People can then go onto the page click on home and the home page is updated featuring the new blog.

Also when I type in my blog site name (arch1design.com/blog/) in google search the resulting headline still features the first sentance from a blog 2 weeks ago and the link to that page. Where as before it would change to the new blog within a day.

The only changes I have made is updating to latest version of WP and added Super Cache.

Is there anything I can do?
    Thanx

  • No, you have to wait for Google to do his job. It takes days/weeks/months for Google to update a website.

It just seem strange that for 3 months every time I posted a new blog it updated within a day. And the link from my website also goes to the same old home page even though I republish new home page link.

Oh, please give me your website so i can see it with my eyes. And tell me wich one is the link that goes to your old home page.

It seems that you do not understand what Google does and what you do.

Perhaps you just need to tweak the settings for WP Super Cache?

Or just uninstall it completely unless you have any particular requirement to do so.

Yes I had problems with Go Daddy they took my site offline for 12 hours and transfered me to a new server . They said my word press blog was slowing down there system and told me to use super cache if I was getting a lot of hits from digg etc..

In my original post I started that I now link direct to the new page rather than home page. Unfortunately Im in a internet cafe and not using my home computer at the moment so I cannot re-link to the home page on script writer. So I cannot demonstrate.

Yes you are right im not sure what google does perhaps if I did I might be in top 100000 world websites on alexa rankings rather than hovering on 150000 mark. Im in top 20,000 in U.S. but cannot seem to get my world ranking down

Any tips on how I can make that final push and get an higher ranking. You see Ive been online for year now and its getting rather frustrating not being in top 100000.

I know it may help if I spent some money on advertisement but I dont want to go down that line. I limit my costs to hosting fee and domain name (arch1design.com/)

    Thanx in anticipation

1.) Google is a bad m******* f*******. He doesn`t care about your website’s age. He doesn’t care about you at all. If you ask me, i don’t like at all Google and everyday i find myself in the situation that when i am searching something i do not get relevant answers. So i don’t care about Google anymore.

2.) On my websites, sometimes Google takes 3-4 days to update it and sometimes it takes months to update it. He is a busy guy. And i am sorry to tell you but sometimes it doesnt update it at all.

3.) I still don’t understand where is the problem on your website. You have to tell me exactly what link is the one with problems on your website and where do you want it to go and where it is going now.

4.) If i`m corect, and if my way of understanding this problem is corect, your problem can be solved in matter of seconds. But only if you show me the exact link to find out…

5.) Google doesn`t have anything to do with your link and the direction of your links from your website. Google deals only with the links from Google Search Engine.

The link is on my web home page (https://www.arch1design.com/ on the top right hand column under
Heroin and cornflakes blog and just below. However like I say they are all linked to specific page and I cannot change to home page until I get home 8hrs later.

sorry, i stil dont understand … i told you to tell me throw examples like this:

right hand link “ThisIsTheNameOfTheLink” – now it goes to this “TheLinkWhereIsGoingNow” – and i want to go to this “ThisIsTheLinkWhereItShouldBeGoing”

I have fixed the problem …I deactivated super cache, updated my latest post..went into reading settings changed no. of posts for home page to from 1 to 2,

deactivated google xml sitemaps plugin, then re-activated both super cache and xml plugins..

I dont know which one did the trick but I googled arch1design blog 10 minutes later and the google page showed my blog with the latest blog head line under the title and it now goes to latest post in home page when clicked.. amazingly quick… I still dont know how it google works but I guess it likes my site… lol..

    Thanks for your help
