Not triggering "WordTwit" when missed

I have the “WordTwit” plugin installed so that when i schedule a post or just publish it, a Tweet goes out at the same time as the post.

However, if it misses schedule and this plugin rectifies it, my tweet does not go out. Any way to fix that?
