    Hi!

This plugin is a great idea. Unfortunately, it’s not working for me.

I’m not doing anything special. I have my Mailchimp API properly connected with my WordPress site. I have 2 Mailchimp lists. 1 that contains subscribers and 1 that contains vendors. So I set the role to “subscriber” in the Mailchimp User Sync Settings for the subscriber list and to “vendor” for the vendor list.

Auto sync didn’t seem to do anything, so I tried manual sync. It runs through the list and the “0/X” next to the “Status” changes from red to green and from “0/X” to “X/X”. There are no errors in the log, so everything seems like it has worked. However, when checking my mailchimp list, I find that either 0 entries or 1 entry gets added to the list each time I run the manual sync.

Why isn’t it working? Is there an error in the code?

    Update:

I discovered that the “double opt-in” feature was causing the problem. Apparently, if that feature is turned on, this plugin will take the liberty of sending a Mailchimp email to everyone on your list about subscribing to the list! THERE SHOULD DEFINITELY BE A WARNING NEXT TO THIS FEATURE! I did not want to send a junk subscription request to all my users!

I thought it meant that it would only add subscribers to the Mailchimp list after they confirmed their email through the normal registration process, not after clicking on a link in a spamish-looking email!

Anyway, the import worked after I turned off the “double opt-in” feature. I’m going to make sure that feature is turned off from now on. This was very upsetting.
