Not sure what the heck I did! =( wp-config.php already exists
-
I received an e-mail to update to the new wordpress a while back, so I logged in and clicked update wordpress, but then I get this message:
“The file ‘wp-config.php’ already exists. If you need to reset any of the configuration items in this file, please delete it first. You may try installing now.”
Then for some reason I couldn’t log in to WordPress anymore. It wouldn’t recognize my email. Even when I requested a new password, it would say that my email is not registered. So I registered my email again and created a profile.
Disclaimer: I don’t know anything about building websites or working with WordPress, I had a friend build my site, but now I lost contact with that friend, so I tried updating the site myself. So I have no idea on where I should start or what I should do. My website was working fine before I tried to update it. My head hurts from trying to read and watch YouTube videos on what I should do.
