    Hi,

can you tell me – step-by-step – how to determine if the plugin actually works?

I have some entries in ‘Autolinks Manager – Statistics’, I have some entries in ‘Autolinks Manager – Autolinks’. But I still don’t know if the plugin is actually doing anything.

Do I have to analyse the article HTML code?

    Hello mihannsell,

    1. Configure the automatic links from the Autolinks -> Autolinks menu.
    2. Visit the Autolinks -> Dashboard menu and click Update metrics.
    3. The number of automatic links is displayed in the Automatic Links column of the Autolinks -> Dashboard menu.

If you need further help creating automatic links please include information on the used keyword and a link to a page that includes the keyword occurrences.

    This is all set,

I’m just curious how can I tell which HTML elements are actually generated by your plugin on a front-end. Let’s say I have an article listed in ‘Autolinks Manager – Statistics’ with some ‘Clicks’ greater than 0 – what is actually that is created by your plugin within this posts’ HTML code?

    Hello mihannsell,

The plugin replaces keywords with links.

    E.g. with the keyword “book”.

    Before:

    A book.

    After:

    A <a data-autolink-id="1" target="_self" >book</a>.

Note that you can’t control the generated HTML without modifying the plugin.
