Not sure how to update SM icon links?

    I was redirected here by a volunteer moderator on a previous forum, so Ihope this is the right place.

    The social media sites (Facebook and Twitter) that this business was using were taken down, and I have made new pages for them on those sites. However, the icons at the top of the web page still lead to the broken links and I can’t figure out how to add the new links to the new SM sites to those icons.

    The main source of the problem is that the links are in a header that remains on every page of the website that you click on, so while I can find the individual pages to edit, I cannot find anywhere in there a section for editing the header, and therefore updating the icon links. The site is running WP 3.9.6 with the Finance theme. Is there by chance anyone familiar with this version of WP?

    Any advice on how to fix this? I did not build the webpage, so unfortunately I’m grasping at straws here. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    It appears that you have tried to edit functions.php and your entire website is now down. Try to replace functions.php file from one that comes with theme that you use and notify me again, so we can proceed with your social icon problem.

    I forgot to switch this to resolved. I figured out how to update the SM links, but now the entire site is down and I can’t get the web host login information to fix it. When it’s not one thing, it’s another with this site.
