Not sure how to set up the wp-config.php

  • I have WP running on my site now, it’s 2.9.2 was setup by my host, I want to run an older version and my host tells me I have to install it. So how do I set up thew wp-config.php

  • 1) Make a complete backup of everything first. Files and database. Just in case you encounter issues at some point

    2) Retrieve a backup copy of your existing wp-config file for reference. It is sure to currently contain the correct database information you will need.

    Just a reminder, some previous versions of WordPress have occasionally well known, and frequently published and discussed vulnerabilities that could eventually prove to be problematic for you and/or your host if used.
