Well, that’s not actually an alternative. The idea was not to ask any personal information to people who purchased free downloads, whereas it looks to me the core team addon still requires that. Is it correct?

@ste_95: The Free Downloads plugin extension by Dan bypasses the entire checkout function on EDD; if I recall right. I believe the user info box can be turned off.
