not support post with Chinese post title

    Hi there,

    Wondering if you could make this plugin support Chinese post title , ie rename the file into Chinese name as currently it does not support renaming file name with Chinese characters.

    Hi @travelavenger ,

    Please try setting the option Rules > Filename > Character conversion method as Transliterator and let me know if you have better results.

    not working, but it says disabled on the server, should I enable it first? If so, how to do so?

    Hi @travelavenger ,

    Sorry for the long delay. The Transliterator depends on the intl extension. You need to enable it on your hosting.

    Please, try to contact them and ask how you could activate it.

    Hey there,

    Thank you for your reply. Wondering if it is possible to have an update which supports Chinese or other non Latin characters without changing the setting on the server in the future? Most of the hosting are shared and it is not possible to change the setting.

    This plugin is useful but if it does not Chinese or other non Latin characters, it will lost a lot of users.

    Hi @travelavenger ,

    Some shared servers do support the intl extension. Examples:
    – A2Hosting
    – Namecheap

    I don’t know what is your hosting, but maybe if you contact them, they could help you with that.

    I agree with you. Supporting Chinese or other non Latin characters is important, but the plugin does support it. At least, I’m trying ??
