Is WP 3.9 all you upgraded, or did you upgrade other plugins as well? If so, which ones?

Please define “not submitting” — what exactly is the issue?

Can I get a link to view a form with the problem?

My client upgraded to 3.9, so I will need to check to see what other plugins they may have updated.

By not submitting, I mean that no data is passing to Salesforce at all.

FYI – it’s not WP 3.9 – must be a plugin that was upgraded at the same time.

I checked with them and they don’t recall updating anything. I’m having them check with other employees. If I turn off plugins one at a time, will it resolve? Any suggestions on how to figure it out?

Also, everything looks fine with the forms then?

Checking for plugin conflicts would be the next step.

My test on WP 3.9 looked and worked just like it did on 3.8.

Nothing seems to be wrong with the plugin on your site — from the front end.

    Things I’d suggest checking:

    Plugin conflicts
    The OrgId is correct
That the web host did not make any changes on their end
The SF account has not exceeded the 500/month web2lead limit (doubtful, but possible)

    (@cindybou)

Thanks. I did confirm the org ID and we are definitely not over the limit for the month. There was a database error message on the site yesterday, so I’m wondering if it is hosting company.

How do I go about determining plugin conflicts? There are several plugins that are installed but not active, do I need to check those too?

And how do I know if there is a conflict?

    Plugin Author Nick Ciske

    (@nickciske)

Only active plugins need to be checked.

    Standard troubleshooting procedure:

    1. Check for theme conflicts:
Switch to a bundled theme (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014). Did that solve the problem?
If so, your theme is breaking the plugin. Talk to the theme vendor or request premium support to have me troubleshoot the issue with your theme.

    2. Check for plugin conflicts:
Deactivate all other plugins: Did that solve the problem?

If not, it’s an issue with your hosting:
Talk to your host or request premium support to have me troubleshoot the issue with your server.

If it did, it’s a plugin conflict:
Reactivate plugins one at a time until the problem returns. The last plugin activated is the culprit. Report back with that plugin name/link and I can troubleshoot the issue to determine if there’s a fix.

You are awesome! Thank you. Will get back to you soon.

    (@cindybou)

Now the whole site has a “Error establishing a database connection” message. Can’t access site or backend. I’m thinking hosting company issue?

    Plugin Author Nick Ciske

    (@nickciske)

    Yup.

    (@cindybou)

Hosting company got site back up, but now they are saying that we need to re-install the plugin to get it to work. That makes no sense to me as I can see the plugin in WP-admin. Does that make any sense to you? If I do need to, is there an easy way to save the forms I’ve created and re-import?

    Plugin Author Nick Ciske

    (@nickciske)

The plugin options will stay in the DB even if you uninstall/re-install the plugin.

All you should really need to do is re-upload it (overwriting the existing files).

    Thread Starter cindybou

    (@cindybou)

I tried to re-upload and it failed. So, if I uninstall and reinstall, the existing options will stay? Nervous…those forms have alot of custom fields and took a long time to build.

    (@cindybou)

Also, I deactivated one plugin and now one of the forms is working, but the other 2 still aren’t… Weird.
