Not showing older tweets

  • Hi Martin,

    thank you for creating such a great plugin! I have been using your plugin for a few months with no issues. However I have noticed today I am getting the error message “Problem retrieving data from Twitter”.

    I created a new test tweet and now that one appears, but only that one. When I don’t use the search function, and just display the tweets on my user timeline, they all come up. When I use the same search string in Twitter all the tweets I’m expecting come up also. So my question is, why aren’t the old tweets showing up when I use the search function in the plugin?

    Let me check this.

    Twitter only covers a short period with its search API – and so Rotating Tweets usually stores old tweets to compensate for this.

    But it’s possible that a zero return might break this. I’ll have a look at the code and see if there is a fix.

    Can I confirm that at some point you lost a bunch of old Tweets that the search widget had been showing? In theory, this shouldn’t happen!
