    Hi everybody,

yesterday I did the migration from mqtranslate to qtranslate-x in a website with three languages: Spanish, Italian, German.
The website looks working fine in the front end, the pages are available in all three languages, but the languages switcher doesn’t show up in the back-end in order to translate post or pages. Why is that?

In text mode, the languages code appear like before <!–:it–> etc..
    Is that normal?

    Thanks in advance.

it is possible to update your PHP version to 5.6?

Ask your provider if you do not yourself have that opportunity

EDIT: I’ve just done a test, used PHP version 5.3 and could reproduce your problem!

Upgraded PHP version to 5.6.9 – the newest version available on the server.

Unfortunately nothing changed: in the post panel still neither the box on the right and the language’s boxes under the title show up.

    Any other idea?

I also tried the option “Single Language Mode”, but nothing changed.

Checking again I see that there is a box at the bottom of the page of the post/page editing, with the title ‘Language’, which says:

This is a set of “Language Switching Buttons” from qTranslate?X. Drag it to a place where you would need it the most. Use the handle at the top-right corner of this widget to hide this message.

    But there are no flags…

Hi, I have the same problem. The front-end is OK, bud there are no flags in administration when editing or creating a page or post.

I use WordPress Multisite. Default Theme Twenty Fourteen. Use Language Switching Buttons (LSB).

    Plugins:
Automatic Sign Out For Inactivity, BackWPup, Multi-Site Site List Shortcode, Multisite Enhancements, NS Cloner – Site Copier, Organizational message notifier, Wordfence Security, WP Super Cache

Not working even on fresh activation on a web, which does not have any translation plugin in the past.

    Version of qTranslateX: 3.3.4
PHP Version 5.3.10 (not able to update)

please try now the Reset of qTranslate again.

without doing nothing more (no Reset again) it seems to be solved!

I say “seems” because the owner of the website says that they can see the flags and everything works for them, while I actually can’t. I also tried to change a category description and after saved, in the front end, the title of the category was changed and the was the code in it.

Why is that? Is it probably because I use an old browser?

Thanks again for the support, very appreciated and rare!

    Update maybe?

    Maybe use Firefox or Chrome?

Hi, I actually remember, that I use this latest version from GitHub, as you suggested in this thread.

If I use standard version 3.3, the flags are OK. But because of the conflict with another plugin I cannot use it.

So, I will wait till next stable release and we will see, if everything will work.
